# Higher Education

Higher Education programmes lead to academic awards registered on the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF) of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Higher Education qualifications provide a programmatic focus that points towards a career field, not a specific job function. These programmes build a flexible and adaptable knowledge base located in higher order knowing and doing that can be applied in many professional workplace contexts.
