QUALITY HIGHER EDUCATION

# Graduate Support Services

Whatever you study, wherever you’re from, you’ll have one thing in common with all your fellow students: when you graduate, you’ll want to find a job!

But jobs are scarce – so you’ll want to study at an institution which gives you the best chance of finding a job.

There are two aspects to this:

**1:** The education you receive is of the highest quality and prepares you for your chosen career. So, it’s important to look for international accreditation and other professional accreditations.

**2:** You learn how to give yourself the best chance of landing a job. This endeavour has its own set of skills you will need to set yourself up for success.

This is where **Graduate Support Services** come in! Let’s face it: job hunting can be stressful and intimidating. Improving your work readiness skills will give you practice – and through practice, confidence to do your best throughout the process.

## Job Hunting Skills

If you’re a Boston graduate, our FREE ‘Job-Hunting Skills Coaching’ series will teach you:

- How to write a professional CV
- How to write an effective cover letter (which is just as important as your CV)
- Where, and how, to look for jobs (including internships)
- Interview skills
- Methods of applying for jobs, which increases your chances. You’ll get a chance to practice these methods in the programme
- How to use LinkedIn – it’s an excellent tool you can use to market yourself!
- Enhanced written and verbal English communication skills
- You can do the coaching series in your own time: either at home, or at your nearest [Boston Support Centre](/contact-us//) .

## After The Job-Hunting Skills Coaching Series

- You can ask us for advice on which positions you’re best suited for, or for help with a draft job application
- We’ll help you determine whether a job ad is fake

It’s important to note that although you may be helped to find a job after you graduate, you must complete the interview journey independently.

## Other Services

We’ll:

- Review your CV and cover letters, and help you interpret job ads (job ads have hidden clues you must be able to understand)
- Put you on our database so you can receive leads for internships and jobs which are suitable for you
- Point you towards the best job portals (not all are good!)
- Suggest how you can continue to upskill and develop yourself – in today’s world, you’ll need to be learning throughout your career

Where possible, we’ll:

- Give you one-on-one coaching
- Give you mock interviews
- Link final-year students with companies who contact us looking for work-integrated learning candidates
