# Business Information Systems and Virtual Computing Short Learning Programme

If you have completed the Boston Short Learning Programme Networking Specialist or Networking technician or an equivalent credential and want to expand your repertoire of expertise, this quick skills acquisition Short Learning Programme is the one for you.

This course focuses on IT Systems management and Cloud computing, expanding your ability to demonstrate an understanding of the general principles of business information systems and how to apply the basic principles and procedures of virtual computing.

### Entry Requirements

Boston Short Learning Programme Networking Specialist or Networking Technician or equivalent credential.

This programme is offered by Boston City Campus in the distance mode of education with support provided at Learner Support Centres. Apply to register at any Boston City Campus Learner Support Centre nationwide or online.

#### All modules are compulsory and must be passed.

Ito RPL, on successful completion the Learner may apply for admission to a Boston Higher Certificate Programme or an Occupational Qualification.   
  
 Each submission is individually evaluated, hence neither admission nor advanced placement is assured.

Year One Modules

- IT Systems Management (OHISM100-1)*
- Virtual Computing (OHISM300-1)*

Assessment Strategies

*Formative Assessments are undertaken and the highest grade achieved in Formative Assessment is retained. The final grade is based on the Summative Assessment only. A maximum of one (1) additional supplementary assessment opportunity is provided for the Summative assessment, which will be charged for.
